Engyta’s Connected Screens was voted joint runner-up in the Eye on Innovation 2015 award. The Eye on Innovation award is part of the annual Retail Business Technology Expo, which is held every year in Olympia, London. The exhibition showcases technology innovations which enhance the retail experience and it attracts hundreds of blue-chip retail visitors from all over the world, every year.
Engyta’s Connected Screens had originally been selected for the Eye on Innovation Trail – where just 12 solutions were chosen from dozens of entries by the judging panel. Competition was very stiff just to make it to the short list so to win second prize is an incredible achievement.
The first prize went to the holographic display solution company, Real Fiction. Their innovative technology allows retailers to create dazzling 3-D visual merchandising effects to promote and showcase products.
Barry Deadman, Head of Business Development at Engyta, commented:
“We are pleased and proud to be a winner as we were up against some serious contenders. RBTE is all about using innovative technology to add to the retail experience and our Connected Screens is the ideal way to engage with consumers by using their smartphones and contactless cards”.
Matt Bradley, RBTE’s event director has spoken about RBTE’s strong focus on technology and said:
“As the digital revolution continues to present huge opportunity for the retail industry, we want to shine a light on all systems and solutions that can help transform retailers’ businesses”.
Engyta shared the second prize with Findbox, which offers a revolutionary product identification technology.
